Bergen County to Hold Recycling Event in Paramus

The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) is sponsoring a tire, computer and paper shredding drop-off, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, August 17, at Bergen Community College, in Paramus.

There is a four-tire limit per person for tire recycling. Tires with or without rims will be accepted. Welcomed items for the drop-off include computers, fax machines, televisions, modems, hard drives, laptop computers, keyboards and monitors.

For mobile paper shredding, each person will be held to a limit of four bags, weighing no more than 10 pounds per bag. Paper does not need to be shredded beforehand. There will be shredders onsite. No material from businesses will be accepted.
