Self-Love Means Self-Care

On Valentine’s Day, we often think about our loved ones and do sweet things to show them how much we care, but don’t allocate enough time and attention to take care of ourselves. Perhaps we should think about what would happen to our family if we got really ill. It is well documented that stress can wreak havoc on the body, yet we rarely address it on a consistent basis.

Using the “oxygen mask” principle” means that we put our own mask first so that we are then able to help others. To work toward that goal, we must keep our body, especially our hormones, in balance and detox heavy metals and environmental toxins properly. Drink plenty of clean water and rest. Our body will reward us with more energy, greater self-confidence and surprising vitality.

We are human “beings”, not human “doings”, and we are precious and worthy of excellent self-care. Be the healthy example for those you love. It just may be the most important gift we can give them.
