Christine Okezie to Speak About Blood Sugar at Valley Hospital
Christine Okezie will present a lecture, Why Blood Sugar Matters—Preventing and Reversing Chronic Disease, from 7 to 8:25 p.m., September 29, at the Valley Hospital Conference Center, in Ridgewood.
Participants will learn of mounting evidence that flooding our system with sugary sweets can play a role in obesity, heart disease and cancer. This information-packed talk will describe just how quickly a meal can raise our blood sugar and spike insulin levels. Okezie will provide tips on how to select the right foods to eat and control cravings.
