Free Paper Shredding in Paterson
The Passaic County Office of Recycling will be holding a paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., September 12, rain or shine, in Paterson. Acceptable items include tax returns, credit card statements, utility bills, old checks, bank statements and computer printouts. Unacceptable items include photographs, carbon paper, binders and non-paper items.
Participants are limited to six banker style boxes of material that are up to 10 inches high, 13 inches wide and 16 inches long. Participants are also expected to take away the receptacles they bring their materials in.
Free for Passaic County residents (proof of residency required). Location: Lambert Castle Parking Lot, 3 Valley Rd. For more information, call 973-305-5738.
