0Household Hazardous Waste Collection in July
The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) is sponsoring a household hazardous waste drop-off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., July 25, rain or shine, in Moonachie. Acceptable items include pesticides, glue, aerosol cans, bug sprays, drain cleaners, fire extinguishers, thermostats, fluorescent light bulbs and lighter fluid.
A complete listing of acceptable and unacceptable material is available on the BCUA website. All items must be in their original container and labeled or they will not be accepted. Nor will computers, electronics or tires be accepted. Businesses that wish to leave waste must preregister, and a disposal fee will be collected.
