The past few weeks have been especially busy in our household, marked by both elementary and middle school graduation ceremonies and the many celebrations that accompany these important milestones. Watching children reach these moments reminds us just how quickly time passes. In what feels like the blink of an eye, they are preparing to enter high school and embark on new adventures. It serves as a powerful reminder to cherish each moment and make the most of the time we have together as a family and community.
This issue is packed with inspiration and practical ideas to help you embrace all that summer has to offer. While the Northeast has experienced a warmer than normal start to the season, including heat waves with temperatures soaring into the 90s and heat index values exceeding 100 degrees in some areas, there are still plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors safely and meaningfully.
Even when the weather isn’t perfect, summer invites us to step outside, connect with nature and celebrate life. In this issue, “Wellness Without Walls” explores a variety of activities that can enrich our physical and mental well-being while enjoying the great
outdoors. “Beyond Swim Lessons” offers valuable insights into developing water confidence
and fostering respect for natural bodies of water. And for those who have caught
the pickleball bug—or are simply looking to improve their racquet sports performance—
we feature off-court strategies that can help elevate your game.
As you turn these pages, we hope you’ll find inspiration to slow down, savor the season
and celebrate the warmth, joy and abundance that summer brings.
