The Hackensack River Greenway Through Teaneck will sponsor a day of maintenance from 10 a.m. to noon, July 25, at Terhune Park Teaneck. Volunteers can spend a lovely day outdoors helping to keep the Greenway clean and healthy while making new friends.

The goal is to pick up trash, free trees from invasives and plant natives where possible. Some tools will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves, loppers and clippers. Certification for volunteer work can be provided if needed.

The nonprofit Greenway Through Teaneck volunteer maintains a 3.5-mile natural trail loop spanning from Terhune Park to Historic New Bridge Landing in New Jersey.

Location: 569 River Rd., Teaneck. Street parking is available. For more information, visit Teaneck-Greenway.org.
