0Hot Metal Yoga Comes to River Edge
The days of yoga conjuring up images of rainbows, flowers and hippie lava lamps are over. Krishna Venkatesh, of Live Free Yoga, will offer a Hot Metal Yoga class from 3 to 4:30 p.m., January 31, in River Edge.
In this class, Venkatesh combines yoga with the music of metal bands such as Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Black Label Society, Deftones, Ministry and other similar artists. Those that attend will work, sweat, laugh and even scream, but not without mindfulness.
There will be dharma, meditation and long savasana rewarding the efforts. While rocking out, participants will be doing vinyasa yoga, also called flow yoga, one of the most popular styles for its fast-paced fitness approach.
Cost: $25. BYO yoga mat and water. Location: 888 Kinderkamack Rd. For more information and to register, call 201-406-8779 or visit LiveFree4Life.com.
