Celebrate Birding at the Meadowlands
The Meadowlands Environment Center will host the Meadowlands Birding Festival, co-sponsored by the Bergen County Audubon Society and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., September 15, at DeKorte Park, in Lyndhurst. Participants will be able to observe the many birds that live in our area and learn about the role they play in the environment.
Activities include bird walks, kids programs and crafts, a keynote talk by renowned field guide and author David Sibley, live raptor demonstrations, talks on the history and nature of the Meadowlands and birding photography tips.
