Attention All Birdwatchers
The Bergen County Audubon Society is hosting several nature walks this month.
Losen Slote Creek Park, in Little Ferry, 10 a.m. to noon, June 5. Visit one of the last low-lying forested areas in the Meadowlands, finding everything from owls to orioles. Meet in the parking lot adjacent to the soccer field.
Mill Creek Marsh, in Secaucus, 10 a.m. to noon, June 16. This 208-acre wildlife sanctuary is an incredible bird habitat including everything from egrets to osprey.
DeKorte Park, in Lyndhurst, 10 a.m. to noon, June 19. Birds from eagles to egrets call this amazing park home.
DeKorte Park, in Lyndhurst, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., June 21. Celebrate the solstice with the Bergen County Audubon Society at one of the most amazing times to see DeKorte Park.
