0Household Hazardous Waste Collection in July
The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) is sponsoring a household hazardous waste drop-off, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, July 20, at the BCUA facility in Moonachie. Welcome items include aerosol cans, glue, antifreeze, fire extinguishers, drain cleaners, disinfectants, fluorescent light bulbs and lighter fluid.
A complete listing of acceptable and unacceptable material is available on the BCUA website. All items brought should be in its original container and labeled. No computers, electronics or tires will be accepted. Businesses that wish to leave waste must preregister. A disposal fee will be charged and collected.
