Discover Healing Herbs at Oakland Library
The Oakland Public Library will present a lecture, Simple Medicine, with herbalist Scott Mazzursky, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., June 6. Tea will be provided—BYO mug. Mazzursky will draw upon his years of experience to demonstrate common simple and cost-effective herbal preparations that anyone can make in order to heal, soothe and nourish the body and mind. Traditional cures from plants and herbs have been used by herbalists throughout the centuries, and can sometimes provide better treatments than modern medicine.
