Free Paper Shredding Event in Wanaque
The Passaic County Office of Recycling will conduct a paper shredding event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., September 29, rain or shine, at the Passaic County Community College, in Wanaque. Acceptable items include tax returns, credit card statements, utility bills, old checks, bank statements and computer printouts.
Unacceptable items include photographs, carbon paper, binders and non-paper items. Participants are limited to six banker-style boxes of material that are up to 10 inches high, 13 inches wide and 16 inches long. Participants must also take away the receptacles they bring their materials in.
