Finding Spiritual Solace in Ridgewood
11 Eleven Healing Crystal Store and Intuitive Healing Studio is a safe, spiritual space where healing can begin. They offer metaphysical and spiritual healing tools, sage, incense, crystal jewelry, salt lamps, oils and more. Reiki, intuitive healing and human design practitioners are available in person and online. Owners Renee Jensen and Blanca Anagnostos operate the retail storefront and intuitive healing practice that focuses on spiritual, intuitive and energy healing support where clients can learn about the mind, body and soul connection and how to apply it to their own authentic journey.
Jensen, a Usui reiki master, recalls, “In 2018, I left a 15-year career in insurance and financial services because I felt a calling to move in to the world of functional intuitive healing. I just picked up and quit one day, and had faith that I would figure it out. I’ve always been highly intuitive, but didn’t understand any of it, and I sought out teachers and education to support my journey. This part of my journey had started in 2010 when my whole world came caving in due to the mortgage crisis.
“A lot in my life had fallen apart, and instead of staying in a rabbit hole, I slowly started to heal, and my path led me to reiki certification the beginning of 2018. I hadn’t done anything with the certification, but later that year a friend had taken her own life and it really triggered me in to a place of unrest. I started using reiki on myself and it really cleared up all of my stress and anxiety, so I decided I wanted to start working on other people. August of 2018 I started my practice in my home office and practiced distance reiki before I opened the office in Ridgewood. After I had been practicing for a bit, the universe kept sending me signs that I needed to start seeing people in person, so I followed the call and opened up the office in Ridgewood in March of 2019. The fall of that year, I was visiting a local crystal shop and I got the very loud message in my mind that I should open one on my own.
“I thought about it for a little bit and then put it out of my mind, but over the next month or so, the voice kept popping up. One day I was in my office at home, and I said out loud ‘Okay, if you want me to do it, I will, but I need some help,’ and literally within 48 hours, Blanca reached out to me about reiki certification and wanted to book a session. As soon as she started chatting with me at our appointment, I had that voice in my head tell me, ‘This is the help you asked for.’ We met a week later on a Saturday and spent the entire day getting to know each other, and by the end of the conversation, we agreed to become a partnership and open the 11 Eleven Healing Crystal Boutique.”
Services include reiki, chakra/energy analysis and interpretation, human design consultation, intuitive insight card readings, classes, online store and courses and reiki certification, as well as a residency program. “If our students express the desire to start their own practices, we nurture that by giving them clients to work on, as well as the opportunity to make an income while they are learning,” says Jensen. “When they are ready, we help them to develop their own business plan, because the world needs as much healing support as possible! We believe there is room for anyone and everyone who wants to make a difference, and we encourage our students to spread their wings and fly!”
