0Bozza Yoga Littles and the Children’s’ Yoga Revolution
Denise Bozza, the founder and owner of children’s yoga revolution through Bozza Yoga Littles, has been practicing yoga for 10 years, but says, “I wasn’t a fan of yoga my first time… or my second, for that matter… but when it clicked, it quickly became the top of the list as far as my priorities were concerned. As time went on and I continued my practice, the innards of my life started to shift. I don’t know if this is the natural progression of a yogi, but I went vegan, quit vaping, drinking and lost weight. If that’s not the most stereotypical story of yogi then I don’t know what is.”
Bozza always loved the physicality of yoga, but was surprised by the the mental boost. She shares, “It was almost immediate in the grand scheme of things. My first memorable experience that hooked me was about six hours after my first hot yoga class, I was euphoric! After that, I wanted to yoga all the time.”
She always enjoyed being around children and has a playful nature, so decided to open a studio just for kids to practice yoga the way adults practice yoga. “Our kids classes are based on age groups and levels. The separation is to create an environment based on maturity and experience in yoga in each class,” notes Bozza. “This supports a good learning experience for our students, because they will be challenged accordingly in a really fun way, creating positive memories associated to yoga.”
It should also be mentioned the mental health aspect of yoga, Bozza says, “We’re so proud of all the progress our yogis have made thus far. It’s a big deal what they’re doing in our studio! And I’ve been practicing my whole life to do this.”
