0Thriving in Transitional Times During the Spiritual Renaissance
Natural Awakenings publisher Jerry Hocek and local TV/radio personality Jefferson Harman have teamed up to kick off a series of speaking/discussion events from 7 to 9 p.m., August 22, at Vista Natural Wellness Center, in Oakland, to focus on how we can all better support each other to thrive while avoiding the trap of fear, anxiety and uncertainty during transitional times. This event is also offered from 7 to 9 p.m., August 24, at CareOne at The Cupola, in Paramus.
For too long, evolution has whisked by us as if we were just passive observers; now, the time has arrived for humanity to collectively energize the process. Everything is about to change. A new future is evolving. We can choose to move intelligently and consciously into the changes that have already begun, or we can do nothing and be pulled kicking and screaming into them. The choice is ours. One way or another, we will participate.
Many people are beginning to sense that great change is upon us in the coming years. Individuals are already waking up and obsolete paradigms—just ideas held together by our collective beliefs—are beginning to shift. The level of thinking that got us here is not sufficient for the task ahead.
We never change things by fighting the existing reality; we do it by building a new model that makes the existing model obsolete. We have both the desire and the ability to better our planet and every person on it, and a good amount of the needed framework is already in place. New, safer, cleaner, better technologies like solar energy have been making their way up from the cracks and blossoming right before our eyes. We must realize that we are a subset of a larger ecosystem, not its masters. Everything is connected.
Don’t be afraid to step into the power we feel. It is part of our sacred work to serve others in these times. We are in good company with all those also awakening to their expanding capacities. There’s nowhere to go but forward in a never-ending evolution of consciousness.
We need to stop waiting for someone else to fix everything. There is no one else. There’s only us. We are the system, and we’re the ones that have to change it.
