Hackensack Riverkeepers to Host Cleanup for Summer Solstice

The Hackensack Riverkeepers will conduct a land-based cleanup party in observance of the Summer Solstice from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., June 22, at Laurel Hill County Park, in Secaucus. Volunteers will rid the park and its surrounding areas of unwanted trash and are advised to wear sensible shoes and clothing that can get dirty.

Cleaning supplies and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers should bring bug spray and sunscreen. Volunteers can bring their own canoes for river cleaning and canoes may also be borrowed. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
