0Green Film Festival at the Wyckoff Public Library
The Environmental Commissions of Franklin Lakes, Oakland and Wyckoff will be hosting a series of green films from 7 to 9 p.m., May 1, 8, 22 and 29, at the Wyckoff Public Library, in Wyckoff. The films that will be screened in the following order for each week are Groundswell Rising, Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic, Blue Gold: World Water Wars and Surviving Progress.
Middle school and high school winners of the 2014 Green Video Awards will also be shown. Refreshments will be available and there will be a panel discussion after each film. All films are rated PG-13.
Some of the pressing issues covered in the films include fracking, the effect of plastic on the world, water management and progress of the modern world.
